Frequently Asked Questions

What do your co-workers say about you?

"Alex Peters distinguished herself during her internship at the Peel Compton Foundation by leading a highly effective, targeted fundraising campaign, demonstrating both strategic insight and initiative. Now, as she pursues her Master's in marketing, she continues to impress with an exceptional work ethic and collaborative spirit. She is a true asset to the Bentonville Library Foundation, and I have no doubt she will achieve great success in her career."

Why are you interested in marketing?

I’m drawn to marketing because it sits right in the middle of creativity and analysis. I love crafting stories, shaping messages, and finding new ways to connect with people, just as much as I enjoy understanding what resonates, why it works, and how to improve it. Marketing lets me bring both sides together—creating work that feels meaningful, then using data and feedback to make it even stronger.

What has been your most meaningful project?

Leading the Why We Ride campaign taught me a lot of lessons and helped me build skills that I still use today. I’m especially proud of this project because I had full ownership and was able to see the direct impact of my work. Read more on my blog to see more of the details.

What inspires your creativity outside of work and school?

Outside of work and school, I love to paint and travel. Painting gives me space to clear my head and refocus, while traveling is a passion that helps me connect more deeply with the world around me.

Do you prefer working at large or small companies?

I’m open to both large and small companies, but I’ve found that I enjoy smaller teams the most. I value collaboration, but I also do well in spaces where I’m given trust and autonomy. Having the freedom to make decisions helps me stay creative and engaged in my work.
